Tulane University announced last week that they received a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation for further development of a graduate certificate program to support students pursuing community-engaged research or teaching. The grant funded activity is a continuation of a pilot program begun several years ago and is a collaboration involving Tulane's School of Liberal Arts, Center for Engaged Teaching and Learning, and the Center for Public Service.
Tulane was featured one year ago in an article for The Chronicle of Higher Education that explored the roles higher education institutions play when cities are overwhelmed by crisis.
