Interview with President Dianne Lynch of Stephens College

Brenna McDermott of the Columbia Business Times interviewed the president of Stephens College for "Dianne Lynch's Master Class."  President Lynch joined Stephens in 2009 and offered her perspectives in the interview on the continuing importance of women's institutions and the various ways Stephens is changing to insure success of its students and the institution.

Stephens enrolls just over 900 students and has focused offerings in the creative arts and health sciences.  Lynch works with staff and faculty to create an environment “...where we absolutely know who we are and we absolutely know what our market is and we absolutely know how to serve it better than anybody else..."  She is also laying a foundation for the future by empowering staff and faculty through personal conversations to help people understand that "... working at Stephens is more than a job; it’s a life’s work...." and that "...people recognize they’re part of something important — changing women’s lives."
