The Council of Independent Colleges offers a variety of resources for anyone wanting to take the pulse of independent colleges and universities. I especially look forward to scanning their Campus Update section of their website and Independent newsletter and find that it is an excellent source for ideas. Campus Update includes a lengthy list of brief sketches celebrating campus achievements by recognizing partnerships, new academic programs/majors, facilities renovations, or other noteworthy campus initiatives. The Independent is published three times a year.
